Ward Churchill, Cynthia McKinney among Recreate-68 speakers for DNC protests

Ward probably waived his usual speaking fee ("up to" $11,000) for his old buddy Spagz. Not My Tribe:
The Recreate 68 Alliance has announced its lineup of speakers for the DNC rallies. Among them: Pamela Africa (MOVE), Kathleen Cleaver, Rosa Clemente [McKinney's running mate on the Green Party ticket], Ward Churchill, Jenny Esquiveo (spokesperson for Eric McDavid), Fred Hampton Jr., a recording from Mumia Abu Jamal, Cha Cha Jimenez, Ron Kovic, Cynthia McKinney, Ricardo Romero, Natsu Saito and a spokesperson for the Cuban Five.
By the way, the world's meanest dictator (if he doesn't get his beauty sleep) has lots of good DNC tiddle-bits. Just scroll, baby.

Update: Forgot to mention the trainings R-6!8 will be conducting Saturday the 23rd:

12pm - 1pm

Healthy & Safety for Activists Non-Technical Blockades (Colorado
Street Medics) (Re-create 68 Alliance)

1pm - 2pm Logistics Training Self-Defense for Protesters (Unconventional Denver) (Gumm Mixed Martial Arts)

2pm - 3pm Know Your Rights Drumming for Demos

(People's Law Project) (The Back Bone Campaign)
There can never be too much drumming.

More: Skunked! Israellycool:
The Border Guard has begun using a new means of contending with riots coined “Skunk”.

The police developed this new method for scattering violent demonstrations and tested its effectivity in the last demonstration which took place in the West Bank village of Naalin.

On Friday, during a protest that took place near Naalin, Border Guard officers used the “skunk” for the first time in order to scatter the violent rioters in the area. . . .

The Border Guard reported that after the first usage of the “skunk” the Palestinians fled in order to shower and change clothes.
Probably too much to hope that the Denver cops bought one. (via SmellGF)

More: Yippies yuck it up with "peace bats":
A quiet "riot" broke out Sunday in front of a convenience store near the Pepsi Center, site of the Democratic National Convention, when protesters, police and counter-protesters clubbed one another mercilessly.

The incident was over in a matter of minutes. But when a group of reporters and photographers arrived, the fight broke out all over again.

This particular battle was waged with "peace bats," inflatable 42-inch red, white and blue baseball bats plastered with bumper stickers that read, "Make Fun, Not War!"
Never understood Stalinist humor.
