Obama to give nomination acceptance speech at Invesco Field

It's official:
According to a press release from the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC), the arm of the Democratic Party charged with staging the convention, Senator Barack Obama will break the mold of traditional political conventions by accepting the Democratic nomination for President of the United States at Denver's INVESCO Field at Mile High.

INVESCO Field in Denver can accommodate more than 75,000 people and will be the site of the convention's final day of programming on Thursday, August 28, 2008.
Update: Slapstick Politics does some shrewd speculatating on the Invesco Field move, and notes that the event has already been compared to a Nuremburg rally.

Update II: I think SP has this, too, but anyway, add $3 mill to the cost of the convention with the move to Invesco Field.
