Damn you, global warming!

The Post: "Aspen Mountain to reopen with 3-foot base, in June":
Several spring storms that moved across the state last week dumped several inches of snow on top of leftover snowpack across higher elevations, allowing at least one ski resort to reopen for a weekend.

Aspen Mountain plans to reopen 45 acres, and possibly more, of intermediate, snow-covered terrain on the 11,212-foot mountain's upper reaches where the average snow depth is about 3 feet.
